Privacy policy
Effective date: September 7, 2026 · Pocket Shelves by ByteEra Labs
This policy explains how ByteEra Labs handles information in Pocket Shelves, on this game website, and when you contact player support. For questions or privacy requests, email developer@byteera-labs.com.
Pocket Shelves is a single-player game. It has no advertising, account registration, social features, or developer-operated gameplay analytics service. Your puzzle progress is stored on your device.
1. Game data on your device
The game saves completed shelves, stars, your current puzzle, recent undo steps, language, and settings on your device. It also keeps a local backup to help recover a damaged save. The game does not upload this progress to a developer-operated server.
This data normally remains until you remove the app’s data or uninstall the game. Uninstalling or changing devices can lose progress. Any device backups are subject to your platform settings and the platform provider’s practices.
2. Store purchases
Apple App Store or Google Play processes purchases using your store account. The game requests prices, checks purchase status, and verifies whether you have purchased the full-game unlock. We do not receive payment card numbers through the game.
On Android, signed purchase evidence may be stored locally to verify access offline. This evidence can include the product and package identifiers, purchase time, transaction or order identifier, and purchase token. On iOS, Apple’s StoreKit supplies verified purchase entitlements. Refunds or revoked purchases can remove access to paid shelves.
Purchases belong to the relevant store account. They do not transfer between Apple and Google, and restoring a purchase does not restore puzzle progress. Store records and any diagnostics you choose to share through your device or store are subject to the platform’s privacy settings and policies: Apple privacy and Google privacy.
3. Player support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send, such as a problem description, device details, game version, or screenshots. We use this information to reply, investigate issues, and handle privacy or purchase-support requests. Our domain uses Alibaba Cloud enterprise email to deliver and store correspondence.
Please do not send passwords or payment card numbers. We keep support correspondence for as long as needed to address the request and any related dispute or legal requirement. You can ask us to delete information you sent; we will explain any information we must retain.
4. Website visits
This website is hosted using OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Providing and protecting the website can involve processing technical request information such as your internet address, browser information, requested page address, and request time. Hosting providers may keep operational or security logs under their own policies.
We do not add advertising pixels, marketing trackers, or optional analytics to this game website. Fonts and game images are served with the website. Infrastructure providers may use cookies or similar mechanisms where necessary for security or service operation. For their practices, see OpenAI’s privacy policy and Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
5. Why information is used and shared
We use support information to provide the assistance you request and technical information to operate and secure the website. Where European or United Kingdom data protection law applies, these purposes rely on providing requested services, our legitimate interests in helping players and maintaining a secure service, or compliance with legal obligations, as applicable.
We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Information may be processed by service providers needed for hosting or correspondence, or disclosed when required by law. Providers may process information in countries outside your own; applicable protections and transfer arrangements are described in their privacy terms.
6. Your choices and rights
You can change language, sound, vibration, and reduced-motion settings in the game. Removing local game data or uninstalling can erase progress; it does not cancel a purchase or erase records held by your store. There is no Pocket Shelves account to delete.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict or object to certain processing, and complain to your local data protection authority. Contact developer@byteera-labs.com to make a request. We may ask for information needed to verify your request and will respond as required by applicable law.
7. Children’s privacy
The game does not ask players for their name, age, contact details, or an account. We do not knowingly solicit personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information to support, a parent or guardian can contact us to request its removal. Store purchases are subject to the store’s approval and family controls.
8. Changes and contact
We will update this page and its effective date when these practices change. Contact ByteEra Labs at developer@byteera-labs.com about this policy or player support.
